Digital Press Operator

We were recently named as a finalist for Wisconsin s Manufacturer of the Year, and we re looking to add experienced Digital Press Operators to our team.

Successful Digital Press Operators work well in a fast paced, production environment, and use their problem-solving skills to keep the press running smoothly. They use positive communication skills to mentor operators in training and to keep the team working at the end of the line focused on meeting productivity goals.

In this position you will:

  • Be responsible for maximizing productivity while maintaining a high level of quality in all printed materials produced on your press
  • Set up the press to run jobs using job instructions prepared specifically for each project
  • Monitor the quality of the materials being produced
  • Troubleshoot problems and make necessary corrections, involving a mechanic when necessary
  • Supervise the work of Press Helpers assigned to your press

Experience and Education:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of prior experience operating a press, including working knowledge of 4 color, UV curing, plow-folds and ink jet
  • Experience using Windows and Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) preferred but not required
  • Solid reasoning/problem solving skills
  • Basic proficiency with computers

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
