Provides assistance with classroom organization, management, and presentation/development of classroom instruction. Works under general supervision of the instructional staff
Job Summary:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Assists the teacher in the preparation of educational materials for students.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Works individually with students and/or in small groups to help reinforce learning objectives.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Assists with all aspects of the daily routine, including distributing and collecting supplies, keeping attendance records, and grading quizzes as assigned.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Participates in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Assists with preparing and maintaining bulletin boards and other learning centers areas for instruction.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ High School Diploma or GED required plus 60 semester hours of college credit; OR 90 quarter hours from a technical college; OR have passed a PSC-approved paraprofessional assessment.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate required.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ability to understand and follow directions.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Good organizational skills.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Classroom experience and/or proven ability to work with children preferred

Salary Range for 2014-2015
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ $17,988 - $21,229
Step placement credit may be granted for up to a maximum of 8 years (Step 9) of prior verifiable experience. Salary placement with Fulton County Schools is non-negotiable. Actual salary placement will be based on Fulton County Board of Education experience calculations from the Non-Teaching Salary Schedule A-178, Professional Scale, Step 1 - Step 9

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
